About

A calm tool, built in Québec.

Sablio is a small Québec company. We build time tracking that respects the people using it — because we're the people using it too.

01 · The origin

It started with a Sunday-night spreadsheet.

In 2024, Patrick — Sablio's founder — spent a Sunday night reconstructing his weeks from browser tabs, calendar screenshots, and Slack threads. He just wanted to send an honest invoice. He figured there had to be something better. He searched. He didn't find it — just tools that took screenshots or asked you to code every minute into a project. He started writing his own.

02 · Who runs the shop

A tight team, in Québec.

Patrick handles product, code, and email replies. We stay deliberately small. We'd rather have time to do things well than grow fast. The team's contributors all work from Québec or the nearby francophonie. No open offices, no nine-person meetings. When you write to Sablio, you write to someone who uses Sablio every day.

03 · Why Québec

Made here, hosted here.

Sablio is a Québec company. Our servers are in Montréal. Our data doesn't leave Canada. We pay taxes here. We sign emails in French by default. It's not a marketing strategy — it's who we are. Québec French doesn't come off the product; it shapes it. Our tone, our examples, even how we name features — all of it smells of where we come from.

04 · Where we're going

Slowly, but for a long time.

We want Sablio to live for ten years, not to be sold off in three. We don't take money from investors who'd ask us to pivot. We open access in small waves because every new person on the list is someone we reply to personally in their first week. We'll grow — but at a pace where we don't lose what we're trying to protect.

Our values

Four things we won't negotiate on.

Respect

Your data, your time, your attention. We take only what we need — nothing more.

Slowness

We'd rather do things well than do them fast. Every feature ships after we've used it ourselves for weeks.

Clarity

A price with no trap. One-click cancellation. Full export, always. No fine print.

Québec

Made here, hosted here, supported here. It's not a label — it's a stance.
