Terms of service

The agreement between you and Sablio. We kept it short and readable. If something feels off, write to us — we'd rather adjust than dodge.

⚠ Reference document — preliminary version pending legal review before official publication. The principles reflect our commitments; contractual wording remains to be finalised with counsel.
01

Acceptance

By creating a Sablio account, you accept these terms. If you disagree with something, don't create an account — or write to us first, we'll talk. You must be at least 14 years old (or the legal age of consent in your jurisdiction) to use Sablio.

02

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA. If you suspect unauthorised access, write to support@sablio.app — we suspend the account within one business hour. Each person must have their own account: no shared accounts between multiple humans.

03

Payment and trial

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually. The free trial lasts 14 days (30 days for teams) with no credit card. After the trial, your account becomes read-only — your data stays exportable for 90 days. No surprise charges. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise.

04

Intellectual property

Sablio (the software, the brand, the design) belongs to us. You may use it within the scope of your subscription, but not copy it, resell it, or derive a competing product from it. Screenshots for the web or a presentation are welcome.

05

Your data

The data you enter into Sablio belongs to you. We don't sell it. We don't use it to train models. We don't share it with anyone, except under a court order from a Québec or Canadian tribunal — in which case we'll tell you, unless the law forbids us. You can export or delete your data at any time.

06

Workshop journal — optional local collection

The workshop journal is a strictly local, optional collection, under your exclusive control. The data (active windows, open files) never leaves your machine — Sablio keeps no server-side copy. You can turn collection off with one click, change the automatic purge window (14 days by default), or delete the history at any time from preferences.

07

Service availability

We target 99.9% uptime. The service may be interrupted for maintenance (announced in advance) or for incidents (announced as soon as detected, at status.sablio.app). In case of a major prolonged outage, the Team plan may receive a prorated credit. The free trial does not entitle you to compensation.

08

Termination

You may cancel at any time, one click, from Settings → Billing. No penalty. For annual plans, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid cycle — a prorated refund is possible in the first 30 days on request. We may also terminate your account if you seriously breach these terms; we'll notify you by email with reasonable time to export your data.

09

Limitation of liability

Sablio is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the service working, secure, and your data protected — but we can't promise the total absence of bugs or interruptions. Our total liability, in case of a problem, is capped at the amount you've paid Sablio in the past 12 months. No limitation applies in cases of gross negligence, wilful harm, or breach of your privacy on our part.

10

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Québec law. Any dispute will be brought before the courts of the district of Québec (city), unless the law (notably consumer protection or GDPR) gives you a more favourable jurisdiction. We always prefer amicable resolution — write to us before calling a lawyer.

11

Changes to these terms

If we change something important, we write to you at least 30 days before it takes effect. You can then cancel without penalty if the new terms don't suit you. Minor changes (typos, clarifications) may be made without notice, but the version date is always updated at the top of this page.
